Montu Applauds The Albanese Government’s Bold Step in Digital Health Reform

Montu congratulates the Albanese Government on passing the Health Legislation Amendment (Modernising My Health Record—Sharing by Default) Bill 2024.
This landmark legislation represents a major step forward in ensuring clinicians have timely access to critical health information, ultimately improving patient care and health outcomes.
Montu commends the Minister for Health and Aged Care, the Hon Mark Butler MP, for his leadership in driving this important reform, which will enhance the accessibility and integration of My Health Record and deliver better health outcomes for Australians.
“This legislation modernises Australia’s digital health infrastructure, equipping clinicians with the tools they need to provide safe and informed care,” said Edward Strong, Head of Government Relations at Montu.
